Is the iRC2380i the Best Colour Copier?

The iRC2380i has been one of Canon's most popular colour multifunctional devices, has won awards and even helped Canon win the prestigious BLI MFP Line of the Year Award. So what makes this mid-range photocopier special enough to receive so much attention?
Released in the first quarter of 2008, the iRC2380i photocopier has helped bring affordable colour and improved communication to many businesses across the country. A year on and sales of this multifunctional device are still going strong, helping to aid businesses that need a reliable colour printer and photocopier but want to cut down on costs.
The iRC2380i multifunctional photocopier has been designed for small to medium sized businesses and workgroups that regularly use colour but do not require a high end MFP. Businesses often spend more money than is necessary by installing inappropriate photocopiers and printers. Under using a high-end photocopier can waste any business a substantial amount of money. This is one of the factors that have made the iRC2380i such a popular choice, as it delivers durability, reliability and quality from a mid range and cost effective colour multifunctional device.
The iRC2380i photocopier was rewarded for its reliability and durability last year (2008) by winning a Buyers Laboratory Inc. Spring 2008 Pick award for "Outstanding Segment Two Business Colour MFP." The Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) deliver 'Pick' awards twice a year to products in each category that provided the most outstanding performance through a range of exhaustive lab tests. This was awarded to the iRC2380i because of excellent ease of use and scan functionality and very good reliability and multitasking capabilities.
The BLI Pick awards stand out from other awards as they are based on exhaustive lab tests that last two months including an extensive durability test that run each unit at the manufacturer's maximum recommended volume. After the BLI's two month evaluation, the iRC2380i multifunctional photocopier proved to be reliable and durable, with no service call outs during its 100,000 impression durability test and misfeeding just three times, giving the iRC2380i a misfeed rate of just 1 in 33,000. The results that seemed to impress the BLI the most was the iRC2380i's booklet print productivity results. The iRC2380i exceeded its 23ppm print speed in both colour and black and white modes and also had above average colour efficiency in all modes.
By winning a Pick award, the iRC2380i went some way to helping Canon to win the 'MFP Line of the Year' Award in 2008 (http://www.buyerslab.com/news/viewarticle.asp?article=51320). This award is based on outstanding overall performance of MFP's and is the BLI's most prestigious award. The BLI awards have shown that Canon have delivered consistent quality across the whole of the digital imaging industry. The BLI Assignments Editor said that Canon remain "committed to designing highly reliable MFPs that perform consistently" and offer the "most complete total solutions across all segments of the industry."
