The Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) deliver 'Pick' awards twice a year to products in each category that provided the most outstanding performance through a range of exhaustive lab tests. This was awarded to the iRC2380i because of excellent ease of use and scan functionality and very good reliability and multitasking capabilities.

The BLI Pick awards stand out from other awards as they are based on exhaustive lab tests that last two months including an extensive durability test that run each unit at the manufacturer's maximum recommended volume. After the BLI's two month evaluation, the iRC2380i multifunctional photocopier proved to be reliable and durable, with no service call outs during its 100,000 impression durability test and misfeeding just three times, giving the iRC2380i a misfeed rate of just 1 in 33,000. The results that seemed to impress the BLI the most was the iRC2380i's booklet print productivity results. The iRC2380i exceeded its 23ppm print speed in both colour and black and white modes and also had above average colour efficiency in all modes.

By winning a Pick award, the iRC2380i went some way to helping Canon to win the 'MFP Line of the Year' Award in 2008 (http://www.buyerslab.com/news/viewarticle.asp?article=51320). This award is based on outstanding overall performance of MFP's and is the BLI's most prestigious award. The BLI awards have shown that Canon have delivered consistent quality across the whole of the digital imaging industry. The BLI Assignments Editor said that Canon remain "committed to designing highly reliable MFPs that perform consistently" and offer the "most complete total solutions across all segments of the industry."
