Photocopier News - Colour Photocopier News
In its drive towards expanding its offering for small and medium-sized businesses and workgroups, Canon has added another photocopier/MFP, the imageRUNNER Advance C2025i, to the highly acclaimed imageRUNNER Advance C2000 series. The impressive photocopier/MFP will provide users with more cost-effective running, high standards of network security and the same unbeatable environmental credentials as all other photocopiers on the imageRUNNER Advance platform. Importantly, the imageRUNNER Advance C2025i also offers a middle-ground, in terms of maximum printing speeds, between the imageRUNNER Advance C2020i and the imageRUNNER Advance C2030i, with 25 pages per minute maximum printing/copying speeds.
The Award-Winning imageRUNNER Advance Platform
Since its first launch in 2009, the imageRUNNER Advance series has transformed the market-place for photocopiers and re-asserted Canon's name as the world's leading photocopiers manufacturer. The imageRUNNER Advance series has also received numerous awards from almost all of the reprographics industry's leading authorities. Before its launch, the Canon imageRUNNER Advance 8000 series was awarded at the On Demand Expo in the US. The imageRUNNER Advance C9060 Pro went on to receive a coveted EDP Award and before that the C9000 series overall received praise from Printweek Magazine for its exclellent "combination of functionality, flexibility, productivity and image quality."
The imageRUNNER Advance photocopiers platform was the first in the industry to incorporate high-grade, fire retardant bio-plastic into construction and provides more intuitive user interfaces than similarly-priced rival manufacturer devices. Since going on sale in October 2009, the imageRUNNER Advance photocopiers platform has achieved global sales of over 100,000 units. And in the first quarter of 2011, Canon's sales of A3 colour MFP's/photocopiers outgrew the rest of the market. By adding the imageRUNNER Advance C2025i to its portfolio, Canon expands its offering for smaller office/workgroup users looking for A3 colour printing/copying at mid-level speeds. As Paul Rowntree, Canon's European Product Marketing Director commeneted,
"With the launch of the imageRUNNER Advance C2025i we can now provide an even broader range of print speeds, increased security and mailbox functionality to customers looking for quality A3 colour multifunctional devices."
The imageRUNNER Advance C2025i
The imageRUNNER Advance C2025i delivers the same high production standards, impressive security and seamless network integration as the existing C2000 photocopiers and again with a very small physical as well as environmental footprint. The C2025i's advanced design architecture achieves lower running costs and maximal uptime, while the array of security features - secure print, digital user and device signatures and data encryption as well as removable hard disks, provides the highest possible standards of document security.
As noted, the particularly 'stand-out' feature across the imageRUNNER Advance platform is the impressive environemental credentials. And the imageRUNNER Advance C2025i is no exception. Fast warm-up times of 38 seconds or less are possible due to the lower temperature requirements of the device's ink-fixing technology. The imageRUNNER Advance C2025i also provides incredibly low power consumption - just 1.5 watts in sleep mode.
Amongst other features, there is a 5.7" TFT VGA colour touch sceen, print resolutions of 1200 by 1200 dpi, paper capacity of up to 2000 sheets and format handling from A5R to SRA3.
In response to customer requirements and along with the C2020i and C2030i, the imageRUNNER Advance C2025i offers the new MailboxLite MEAP application, providing users with on-board personal mailbox storage. This is a particularly useful feature in circumstances where a device may be situated quite a distance from a user's desk and where a photocopier is shared by multiple users. This feature also helps limit visits to a photocopier/MFP, enhancing document security and minimising paper waste.
The imageRUNNER Advance C2025i is on sale from July 2011.
