Canon Release New iR10xx Photocopier Range

Canon has brought out a new range of multifunctional devices designed specifically for small businesses and workgroups. The iR1020, iR1024A, iR1024F, iR1024i and iR1024iF are powerful multifunctional devices, whilst still being cost-effective and compact.

In September 2008 the iR3225, iR3235 and iR3245 photocopiers were released by Canon. These new machines have reached new levels of power and efficiency whilst having a reduced impact on the environment and reduced running costs.
The Impact of IKON Being Acquired by Ricoh

On 27th August 2008 it was announced that IKON Office Solutions had agreed to be acquired by Ricoh, which was then given clearance from the European Commission on 24th October 2008. This deal was then made final on 31st October 2008 when shareholders agreed to the acquisition. As a result of this merger, IKON is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh.

In recent months there has been a much talked about change in the economic climate. Data from the photocopier industry can be useful for investigating which industries have been affected by looking at which businesses are making more photocopier enquiries and which are making less, it can indicate the businesses that seem to be expanding and doing well and the industries that seem to have been affected negatively.

WiFi technology can be found in almost every modern computer, which has given people the freedom to connect to the internet whenever it is needed and for offices to connect all their computers to a single network without needing any wires. This technology has now been introduced to photocopiers, printers and multifunctional devices, meaning they too can be connected wirelessly to any computer network.
