New Canon Copiers Website Launched

Canon Copiers is delighted to announce this month the launch of its impressive, new and improved website. After some time in development, the company finally went live on 23rd February 2010, with what is a faster, simpler and far more exciting place for its customers and a business, all at Canon Copiers believe, is worthy of the fantastic new home it’s been given.

Visitors familiar with the site’s previous incarnation will immediately feel the difference. Canon Copiers have tried not to reinvent the wheel here but have based changes around a simple desire to improve the end user experience, creating a site that is easier to navigate, more inviting and far, far quicker.

The aesthetic improvements have been achieved by subtly broadening the colour palette from the tedious, almost monochrome, red and white scheme of old, to the new much fresher one, which includes generous blues, inviting graphite greys and sparing touches of red, for a little zest. Canon Copiers have also dedicated a banner area towards the top of the screen for individual Canon product marketing, so specific models can be displayed in their original hues with whatever their range branding, providing visitors with a much truer impression of the character of each product.

Navigation is now simpler too. ‘Tab’ style options across the top of the screen lend a familiar and un-intimidating feel, providing easy access to the ‘key’ areas of the site – ‘Home’, ‘Photocopiers’, ‘Print Audit’, ‘News’, ‘Contact Us’ and ‘Product Selector’. Down the left-hand side of the screen, lie all the other main navigational options, collated into several umbrella categories – ‘Main Menu’, ‘News’, ‘Photocopiers’ and ‘Photocopier Information’.

The Webmaster at Canon Copiers says he is very pleased with the changes,

We’re delighted with how the new site is looking. The main thing everyone should notice is how much faster it is. Besides that, it’s no longer monotonous navigating around the site and overall, just being on there, is a far more pleasurable experience…I should say, it's still early days with the new website and we’ll be making tweaks, as we go, to really maximise on its potential – so do watch this space!

In celebration of the site’s launch, Canon Copiers have announced they’ll be giving any new customers making an enquiry the offer of a free print audit. Combining the very best in print audit software and the vast experience of their industry-renowned service engineers, Canon Copiers will happily visit a customer’s workplace and perform an in-depth and precise print audit and analysis, completely free of charge. Canon Copiers will be able to look into all current print operations and advise, based on their findings, how productivity might be improved and where money, resources and energy could be being saved.

And Canon Copiers remain true to their old values, retaining a space on the website for their celebrated customer pledge, reminding new and returning visitors alike, they’re be in safe hands at Canon Copiers,

  • New Canon Black and White Photocopiers/Printers – A Winner at On Demand
Only last month we reported here at Canon Copiers on the surprise release of two new photocopiers (http://www.canoncopiers.co.uk/photocopiers/black-and-white-photocopiers/) ranges from Canon, the iR ADV 6000 and the iR ADV 8000, which complete the formidable imageRUNNER Advance portfolio. The iR ADV 8000 is Canon’s solution for light production monochrome printing and comes in to replace the ageing iR 7000 range. It’s an impressive package – more compact and versatile than its predecessor and also much easier to use. And even before the Canon imageRUNNER advance 8000’s full UK release (which is taking place in June), it’s already been singled-out for praise by a leading industry authority. The 8105 black and white photocopier/printer (http://www.canoncopiers.co.uk/photocopiers/black-and-white-photocopiers/canon-imagerunner-advance-8105-digital-printer.html), the highest performance model in the 8000 range has just been awarded Honourable Mention at the Best of Show Awards at this year’s On Demand expo in the US.
  • China Takes the Lead in the Global Printing Business
If you were to ask any commentator on global commerce, one of the most easily discernable features of the last decade or so has surely been the growing preponderance of China, as the country continues on its rapid trajectory of unprecedented economic development, both importing and exporting in ever growing quantities and truly defining the world markets when it comes to heavy industry and the trade in raw goods. As China’s position in the global marketplace becomes increasingly dominant, it should perhaps come as no surprise that the exact nature of China’s involvement in commerce is shifting, with growth in yet uncharted territories.
  • International Exhibition, IPEX, Reveals Major Shifts in the Global Printing Industry
For the eighth time now, Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in the UK plays host to the International IPEX Exhibition; the printing industry’s opportunity to come together, demonstrate new products and innovations and explore future business opportunities. This year, IPEX will be taking place slightly later than usual, between 18th and the 25th of May 2010, to avoid any possible collision with UK and international holidays. And with no reason to miss it, IPEX 2010 is looking like it could be the largest yet, with over 1000 exhibiting companies, from more than 40 different countries. Between them, they’ll be occupying an impressive gross floor space of 100,000 square metres, across 11 adjoining exhibition halls. But what should really get the industry talking about this year, is the quite unprecedented explosion of exhibitors from the digital printing sector, with ‘Digital Print’ now occupying an astonishing 38% of the IPEX’ total floor space. Here, we’ll take a look at the changing face of IPEX and assess just what this increasingly influential global showcase can tell us about the state of the printing industry today.
