Features of the Canon IR6020 Photocopier

Further Information

Solutions for every need

The Canon IR6020 photocopier combines scan, print, copy and communication functions in one device. This unique capability revolutionises the distribution of emails, faxes and existing electronic files, enabling the organisation to cut down on forwarding, filing and paper costs.

Intelligent distribution

The intelligent send functions of the Canon IR6020 photocopier cuts document distribution costs and increases productivity. In a single operation, documents can be scanned directly into the system and distributed digitally to a file server for storage, sent to a regularly used folder, individual email addresses or Internet fax. Eliminating the cost of distributing hard copy documents saves time, money and space.

Document management systems:

The Canon IR6020 Colour Photocopier is ideal for use with a document management system. For more information on Document Management Systems please see our Document Management page.

LDAP enhances communication capabilities further

With MEAP, Intelligent Sending is even easier and more efficient, because the Canon IR6020 photocopier supports LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). This integrates the "send to email" function with your company address book, and enables more efficient management of accessible email addresses. Multiple local address books no longer need to be manually updated.

Enhanced mail box security

Secure control and tracking of important documents both internally and externally is absolutely critical. Documents can be printed securely directly from your PC via the secure print function, where printing can only begin when the correct password is given to the device. If you don't want the documents immediately you can temporarily hold data on the hard disk of the device. Access them from a password related mailbox, which can be created for both individuals and groups.

User authentication

The Canon IR6020 photocopier has the ability to automatically identify and authenticate each user with the active directory service. Device administrators can select the level of authentication required from Department ID Management, Simple Device Login to Single Sign on.

The next generation machine

MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) is a unique platform designed to meet the next generation business needs. It is a way to deliver true customisation in an affordable and highly effective way. Java programmes can run anywhere - whether in a network, on a server or on a client's Java Virtual Machine.

Work the way you want

Canon is continuously developing embedded applications to run on our MEAP enabled devices. We aim to offer an extensive range of applications not only through Canon business consultants, but also through our partnerships with leading independent software companies and developers.

Simplicity at every stage

The Canon IR6020 photocopier offers you business high dependable network printing and digital copying productivity. Providing up to 50ppm output, the Canon IR6020 photocopier is more than capable of meeting all copying and printing needs.

Professional finishing and advanced options

With the advanced finishing options available you can sort, group and staple collate prints - or select saddle stitching and V-folding for professional booklet production. A handy hole-punching unit can be added. Full finishing is supported directly from connected desktops. Providing superior performance from start to finish.

  • Canon Multifunction Printer Buyers Lab Awards 2010 Winners
Awards season in the world of office equipment is well and truly under way. The most eagerly awaited of all, is Buyers Laboratory Inc.'s (BLI) ‘Pick of the Year’ which have been announced over the last couple of days. It's clear, Canon's unprecedented research and development drive into improving the energy efficiency and environmental impact of its multifunction printers has really paid off. 5 different multifunction printer manufacturers were awarded with ‘Outstanding Achievement‘ for energy efficiency but only Canon laser multifunction printers were awarded more than one, in fact, make that 4 – quite unprecedented in both BLI's and Canon's history.
  • Canon imageRUNNER Advance 9060 Pro Printer Wins EDP Multifunction Printing Award
Another month and yet another accolade for Canon. This time, the European Digital Press Association (EDP) has honoured Canon’s flagship imageRUNNER Advance 9060 Pro multifunction printer (http://www.canoncopiers.co.uk/photocopiers/colour-photocopiers/canon-imagerunner-advance-c9060-pro.html) with a coveted EDP Award. Impressed with the engine’s speed, higher paper capacity, superb software integration and consistently good quality output, the EDP Technical Committee singled-out the imageRUNNER Advance 9060 Pro as 2010’s ‘Best High End Multifunction Printer’. Here, we'll tell you a little more about the EDP Awards, what impressed the judging committee and how Canon UK has greeted the news.
  • New Canon Black and White Photocopiers/Printers – A Winner at On Demand
Only last month we reported here at Canon Copiers on the surprise release of two new photocopiers (http://www.canoncopiers.co.uk/photocopiers/black-and-white-photocopiers/) ranges from Canon, the iR ADV 6000 and the iR ADV 8000, which complete the formidable imageRUNNER Advance portfolio. The iR ADV 8000 is Canon’s solution for light production monochrome printing and comes in to replace the ageing iR 7000 range. It’s an impressive package – more compact and versatile than its predecessor and also much easier to use. And even before the Canon imageRUNNER advance 8000’s full UK release (which is taking place in June), it’s already been singled-out for praise by a leading industry authority. The 8105 black and white photocopier/printer (http://www.canoncopiers.co.uk/photocopiers/black-and-white-photocopiers/canon-imagerunner-advance-8105-digital-printer.html), the highest performance model in the 8000 range has just been awarded Honourable Mention at the Best of Show Awards at this year’s On Demand expo in the US.
  • China Takes the Lead in the Global Printing Business
If you were to ask any commentator on global commerce, one of the most easily discernable features of the last decade or so has surely been the growing preponderance of China, as the country continues on its rapid trajectory of unprecedented economic development, both importing and exporting in ever growing quantities and truly defining the world markets when it comes to heavy industry and the trade in raw goods. As China’s position in the global marketplace becomes increasingly dominant, it should perhaps come as no surprise that the exact nature of China’s involvement in commerce is shifting, with growth in yet uncharted territories.
  • International Exhibition, IPEX, Reveals Major Shifts in the Global Printing Industry
For the eighth time now, Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in the UK plays host to the International IPEX Exhibition; the printing industry’s opportunity to come together, demonstrate new products and innovations and explore future business opportunities. This year, IPEX will be taking place slightly later than usual, between 18th and the 25th of May 2010, to avoid any possible collision with UK and international holidays. And with no reason to miss it, IPEX 2010 is looking like it could be the largest yet, with over 1000 exhibiting companies, from more than 40 different countries. Between them, they’ll be occupying an impressive gross floor space of 100,000 square metres, across 11 adjoining exhibition halls. But what should really get the industry talking about this year, is the quite unprecedented explosion of exhibitors from the digital printing sector, with ‘Digital Print’ now occupying an astonishing 38% of the IPEX’ total floor space. Here, we’ll take a look at the changing face of IPEX and assess just what this increasingly influential global showcase can tell us about the state of the printing industry today.
