Canon first introduced the VP (Velocity and Productivity) suffix to its imagePRESS machines a few years ago. This heralded the innovation of more powerful digital printing presses from Canon, which are now capable of matching the offset litho environment. It is understandable that such a productive and powerful printer would require 3 phase power, which is a requirement of the VP models, although the actual output and productivity of these digital printers is phenominal considering the actual power used and the quality of the output produced.
